The app, which won an Apple Design Award this year, is designed to turn your iOS device into a professional camera for anyone. Along with a number of great features like ProRAW support, the app offers a gesture-based interface that can easily be used with one hand.
And with a recent update, the app has added a new feature for anyone with the iPhone 14 Pro and much more.
Thanks to its 48-megapixel main camera on the newest Pro models, you can take images with a 2x digital zoom. Those are 48-megapixel images that are cropped to 12 megapixels. That means you can use the feature without sacrificing any image quality.
Previously, that feature was available in the Camera app. But now Halide Mark II now supports it as well.
Other recent updates also ushered in other new features for the iPhone 14 Pro line including the ability to capture ProRAW in 48 or 12 megapixels, even with manual settings. You can also quickly toggle between 48 and 12 megapixel capture when shooting.
Manual focus has also arrived for Depth Capture on the front-facing iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Pro cameras.
Anyone with iOS 16 will be happy to hear that the app’s lock screen widgets have gotten even better. There are seven options to choose from including the ability to open app directly from your home screen, and jump right into an ultra-wide, wide, or telephoto lens.
